I am pleased to share a recent publication in the Journal of Clinical Medicine. Allograft Prosthetic Composite (APC) for Proximal Humeral Bone Deficiency in Revision Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty: A Technical Note and Systematic Review.
It was a privilege to contribute to this work alongside a talented team of clinicians and researchers. The paper presents a detailed technical note and a systematic review on the use of APC to address proximal humeral bone deficiency in revision shoulder arthroplasty, a complex challenge in orthopaedic surgery.
We outline meticulous preoperative planning, precise surgical techniques and review the existing literature. The findings show APC constructs can improve pain, function and patient satisfaction with high rates of graft incorporation.
