Dr Mirek Karel

Orthopaedic Surgeon

MD

Mirek obtained his primary medical degree from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in 2013. Following this, he successfully completed his orthopaedic surgery program in 2022. During his orthopaedic training, Mirek actively participated in scientific research, focusing on areas such as rotator cuff tears and healthcare innovation at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft, the Netherlands). In the first half of the year 2023 he completed a six-month shoulder & elbow upper limb fellowship in Melbourne. Mirek joined the ASRI Brisbane shoulder fellowship in July 2023 and is convinced that this fellowship will allow him to further sharpen his skills and expand his knowledge in shoulder surgery and research.
