Ridzwan Namazie is originally from Malaysia. He was awarded a highly competitive government scholarship to study medicine in Ireland before travelling to New Zealand where he trained as an Orthopaedic Surgeon. He came to Australia to undertake two upper limb and shoulder fellowships and completed his fellowship with ASRI in August 2021. He is currently an upper limb and shoulder surgeon in Brisbane and works both in the public and private sector. He is currently involved in research with a joint appointment by the University of Queensland and Metro North Health.
